Rideshare and delivery apps — how complaints work

Checked 2026-10-12. Every point links to its source. “Reported by customers” marks an anecdote from a forum: a tactic to try, not a fact to quote.

In short

Ride and delivery problems are handled inside the app: open Help on the specific trip or order and report it quickly, because windows are short (Uber asks for charge disputes within 30 days, Instacart for problem reports within 3 days). Uber has no phone line for riders, so do not trust an Uber rider support number from a search result or a message; DoorDash does publish a 24/7 support number. If the app refuses a refund for an order or ride not delivered as agreed, dispute the charge with your card issuer within 60 days of the statement. No real app asks you for a password or a login code.

Let your AI agent handle this

Escalate Anything is a free, open-source MCP server for Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, Codex and other AI apps. Your agent gets this playbook, keeps a case log with reference numbers and follow-up dates, and drafts each message for you to approve.

1. Set it up (needs uv):

uvx escalate-anything setup

2. Ask your agent:

My problem with [company]: [what happened, with dates and amounts]. Use Escalate Anything to get it resolved.
