Account transfer or withdrawal blocked: what to do
A transfer to another broker, a withdrawal or a crypto transfer is delayed or blocked.
Have this ready
- transfer request confirmation
- account statements
- messages from the platform
Steps for any company
Ask in writing for the reason, what the platform needs, and the expected completion date.
For a brokerage transfer, ask the receiving firm to check the transfer status too.
Escalate to FINRA or the SEC (brokerages), or the CFPB and your state financial regulator (payment and crypto apps).
A company playbook below replaces these generic steps with the company’s own forms, phone numbers and deadlines.
