- Policy
Maine PUC: LIAP eligibility is based on LIHEAP eligibility or a DHHS means-tested program, with household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines; CMP customers get the benefit as a monthly discount or credit. From October 1, 2026, DHHS uses SNAP, TANF and MaineCare data to find eligible households, and utilities apply the discount automatically unless the customer opts out.
