Verification notes

Electric transmission and distribution utility for central and southern Maine. An Avangrid company (Avangrid has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Iberdrola since December 2024). Regulated by the Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC), Consumer Assistance and Safety Division. Customers who buy supply from a competitive electricity provider still call CMP for outages and delivery. cmpco.com timed out or dropped the connection for every automated fetch, so CMP's own channels come from CMP statements quoted in news reports and from search-result summaries where noted; the Maine rules come from MPUC pages.
