NV Energy: disconnection notice
Nevada requires a 10-day notice and a second 48-hour notice; a medical certificate postpones termination 30 days, and extreme-temperature forecasts stop it.
What does this mean?
Grade A (high: almost everything comes from official pages read directly). 100% of 24 sources are the organization's own pages or government sites.
Collect
- termination notice
- account number
- signed medical statement if it applies
Steps
Contact NV Energy before the termination date and ask for a payment arrangement.
OnlinePayment arrangementIf termination would be especially dangerous to a resident's health, get a written statement from a physician, public health official or advanced practice registered nurse, plus your signed statement that you cannot pay or can pay only in installments.
If the forecast is 105 degrees F or higher, or 15 degrees F or lower, within 24 hours, tell NV Energy the moratorium applies.
If NV Energy proceeds anyway, contact the PUCN Consumer Complaint Resolution Division before the termination date.
