You can cancel by phone, by email to onlinecancellation@dish.com or by mail, but cancellation counts only from the day DISH receives it, and DISH gives no credit for the rest of the month. Return equipment within 30 days and keep tracking, because you carry the shipping risk. DISH bills monthly, so a call asking you to prepay months of service or pay by gift card is a scam.

What tends to work

Traps and fine print

Scams that target customers
