Amazon: cancellation problem
Cancel Prime online from Your Memberships and Subscriptions; refunds depend on benefit use since the last charge.
What does this mean?
Grade A (high: almost everything comes from official pages read directly). 94% of 49 sources are the organization's own pages or government sites.
Collect
- cancellation confirmation screen or email
- date of cancellation
- card statement with later charges
Steps
Go to Your Memberships and Subscriptions, select Prime, Manage Subscription, and Cancel Subscription. For a free trial, choose to end the trial and benefits.
Save the confirmation screen or email. The cancel flow shows the refund amount before you confirm.
If you joined through a third party (for example Google Play), cancel with that provider.
Dispute any Prime charge made after the cancellation date with Amazon, then with the card issuer.
If cancellation was blocked, report it to the FTC and your state attorney general.

Watch out
- Amazon help pages, Your Orders, A-to-z claims and the Prime cancel flow require the account holder's sign-in.
- Amazon help pages block automated fetches (HTTP 503), so an agent may need the person to read the current page.
