Capital One completed its acquisition of Discover Financial Services in May 2025, and Discover Bank merged into Capital One, N.A. (a national bank, OCC). Discover's site footer reads "Discover, a division of Capital One, N.A." Discover says card accounts will move to Capital One throughout 2026 and early 2027; until then, keep using the Discover number on the back of the card.
