## In short

Most Walmart problems are returns: start them in the app, at walmart.com/returns or in a store, inside the item's window (90 days for most items, shorter for electronics, phones, appliances and most Marketplace items). Bring the receipt or order number; refunds go back to the original payment method. If that fails, call 1-800-WALMART, then dispute the charge with your card issuer. Walmart does not send recall or prize texts and never asks you to pay bills with Walmart Gift Cards.

## What tends to work

## Traps and fine print

- ACSI 2026 (interviews through December 2025): Walmart stores scored 76 out of 100 (up from 73), and Walmart online scored 77 (up from 75). The general merchandise retail average was 79. ## Scams that target customers
